Street Reach was started by Kathleen Gomendi to make sure everyone in Denver has a hot meal on Mondays. If you would like to volunteer on a Monday for an afternoon or even for just a couple of hours, show up anytime between 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM any Monday at 1600 Grant Ave in Denver and Kathleen will put you to work.
We also collect sleeping bags, tents and clothes at the church to bring to Street Reach. If you would like to donate any of these items, please bring them to church with you and leave them beside the shopping cart in the office hallway.

Bridge to Habitat
On the third Sunday of each month the missions committee collects monetary donations for our next Habitat for Humanity build. Watch the stones of our bridge continue to get colored in as our donations bring the bridge to life!
AVUMC collects food for the Action Center the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Please bring your items and place them in the shopping cart outside of the sanctuary. If you see a sale, or a two-for-one deal at the grocery store, pick up something for those in your community who are in need and bring it to church with you! We will make sure all donations are received any day of the week.
